Thats treason, report to the cell !!!disastro wrote:the big question for all this is whether you want to slow down pk or not.
waveraiding/defending can get goofy but if you're LOOKING for a fight (which almost by definition you are by going on raids) then you kinda want the other guy to get back up so you can whack em.
the way it is now a good fight can be pretty action packed. I'd hate to lose that.

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

Hah so true. AFAIK, the only time they're useful in Aetheria is for the RK Stalwart Job. Oh and for being a weaponmaster (intimidate).VagaStorm wrote:At the wery least, it could make intimidate and persuade usefull again. That dosent happen alot in online gaming worlds :p

Anything more would be outrageous.
And they're would have to be a cost to the Jailer too. (perhaps a scaled system for variable jail times. 50k/game hour?)
Otherwise their would be2 much room for explioting.
And have The Jail in Avendale with an option of another player posting Bail.
And under only these circumstances.
Raiding Opposing Faction
and that faction does not hold Raiders relic
The Relic cradle must be tapped by any raider and in the process of weakening or defeated.
They're would be probably a token you would have to use and corpse that way they're would be chance for a raider to spawn to avoid jail.
ill give doctoxic some credit here
but to be honest... even 6 minutes would annoy me, personally

Anything that stops a person from doing anything whatsoever is sort of defying the purpose of improvements to make the game fun.
This could be abused somewhat because if you happen to be lvling a lowbie char in ure home city and it starts being raided and u get pkd and ure stuck in jail for doing nothing.
If this were to be implemented it needs to be very specific and restrictive, even with making it exclusive to relic raids to might wanna try it as a mid 20's or something then you get 3 lvl 40s logged in, you die in 2 shots and left to rot for hours spoiling your gameplay. That doesnt sound fun to me.
At least you can make it escapable so it just delays them rather than making them sit and wait.
Ways to escape:
- Bribe the Guards
- Pick Hard Lock
- Disable Trap
- Defeat a scaled monster dependent on your level.
Also make the monster encumbersome to kill but not so tough it can pwn you. That way jail works as a delay rather than anything.

Do not see madness as a curse,
More of a bitter mercy.
But a mercy none-the-less.

A monster with hundreds of thousands of hitpoints that just stands there.. when you kill it, you get out. Sounds okay to me?
