i need my planars...its hard to lvl with 100xp a mob

Persistance with custom quests would be nice, but not nice enough. That and with some of the odd things that we do sometimes that require 100% DM attention, I cant see leaving some of the odd bits lying loose.

Like the time I possessed Jin Voo and took him to NS City. I had buffed him a bit and was in control of him. Then I crashed and he didnt. By the time I got back in most everyone was dead and Jin Voo was waiting outside the door to a shop.

i've seen stuff like that happen a few times...something happens and the controlled mob goes ape and kills everything in sight...its cool.
