I hope to not regret this suggestion since I'm making a pure fighter myself, but perhaps there should be a cap on the DC? Something like 100 or so...
DCs of 130 seem pretty silly to me, and even a DC of 100 will KD most level 40s most of the time.

Being the person who thought up and then tested the actual implementation of the ability by Shield, I can indeed confirm there is a skill check, as I am also the one who wrote the change log.
And for today's lesson on basic DnD terminology.
DC = difficulty class. IE, the check or save you need to roll to withstand some or all of the effects of a particular ability or spell.

i think thats the point
I could make the pure fighter without the kd item and kill most of whats around. I know before pure fighters needed a boost to help em out, but this save vs the kd item is too overpowered. You guys may disagree, but the save is just way too high. Anyway thats just my thought, but im just another plaer

Warlord's Rumble is a wonderful token that works as intended.
The save is discipline vs. discipline. That isn't impossible to save against. There are many caster builds with 43 ranks of discipline, just like fighters. You lose this save when you wear items that augment something other than discipline and don't have a high strength.
There are many things pure fighters can't do. Knocking you down is one of things they're good at.
