Could it at all be possible for, say, Sun, Moon, Wild, and drow to have different advantages at different times of day? A while back ago I had a game called "Arcanum" and how it worked was that Sun Elves gained something during the day, but at night they lost that advantage, and vice vesa for the moon elves.
Something like:
At night(Or underground) Moon Elves and Drow gain a plus to some roll (Or spell slot)
During the day(Or in the woods) Sun and Wild Elves get the same or similar bonus.

I'm glad you guys like the idea, I havn't put much thought into it yet, however I wouldn't imagine the bonus to be anything huge, an extra spell slot at most. Or +1 or 2 to saves depending on what type of elf.
It doesn't necessarily have to be just elves either I just don't know enough about the other races to determine anything on my own...
I'm sure Half orc would be some type of night time bonus, Dwarves (Ive never ever made a dwarf.) I'd leave humans alone, and give Half elf the sun elf bonus. Things of that sort.
