With the changes on the cap for Divine Might/Shield being +20 for CoTs and Pallys and +10 for clerics and Blackguards I reckon this is a bit unfair for the baddies and evilies you enjoy inhabiting some of the factions that disallow pallys.
I believe that Blackguards can be just as devout to their patron dieties as any pally and CoT so i would like to propose a change so that CoT and BG get the +20 while pallys and clerics have the +10 limit. I beleive that this will add a bonus for taking these specific prestigue classes since there is only one PRC per build it would add an extra incentive to these. Plus make it a bit fair to both sides of the alignments.
Cheers.... also just as a side note are these limits just to damage and ac modifers or does it include duration as well?
Thnx

You suggest lowering the power for Paladins?
If Blackguards can be just as devout as Paladins, then why do you suggest that they be able to get more out of divine spells?
On a related side note, maybe make a Blackguard with Divine Might do negative damage instead of divine.

While from an RP perspective, that would seem reasonable, it would be nerfing its abilities. Think: Negative Energy Protection and Undeath's Eternal Foe. To my knowledge there is nothing capable of blocking divine.Squikker2001 wrote:On a related side note, maybe make a Blackguard with Divine Might do negative damage instead of divine.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

I was just using that as an example was meaning by makign is special for Prestigues classes, hence why they get access to it and not pallys. If Blackguards can be just as devout as Paladins, then why do you suggest that they be able to get more out of divine spells?
