Bigger Server?

Just a curious question. I'm not even sure if this is the right forum.

Anywho.
Has there been any talk about increasing server size? Neversummer 4 is popular and crowded but the Player slot is only 46. O.o

Bio engine and lag make things over about 46 pretty iffy.

it has been ssaid before --edited by fatzo for spelling--

the server cap has been set at 46 becase the Crappy Engine of NWN1 is unable to maintain much more than that --- the server box itself as i have heard is uber and can handle many more people--- but alas the problem ramanis that bioware is to blame b.c they are a bunch of cheepskates !

"Crappy Engine" - now that is a good one. Be glad the engine allows those numbers at all. It was never thought to manage so many players. NWN has certainly many bugs and problems, but it has been created for a DM and some players only, you know?

I have a dual xenon cpu dell server that sits and waits for NWN2 and is useless with the NWN engine because of the single thread engine, its too bad. Hopefully NWN2 might offer something better server side but we'll have to wait and see.
