So, the other day when i was at FD with my lvl 30 I tried to take the ferry and realised I was out of money. I run to the shop, but alas, it is closed.
As I began killing wolves for gold I thought, it would be really nice if the intimidation/persuade/bluff skills could be used to get you a ride on the ferry for free.
'Cause really, if you were the poor defenseles ferryman wouldn't you like to give this VERY LARGE, VERY STRONG, VERY ANGRY, VERY HUNGRY HALF DRAGON a ride. It should be an honor to serve a dragon or anything else that could slaughter you with a flick of their wrist.
Intimidate, persuade, etc...
haha i like it but i think there are better and more glorious things the dev's can put their time and effort into dont you

Probably, though it would be kinda nice if there was at least some use for those skills. Perhaps for accessing jobs in factions that have them? *not so subtle complaint*

Problem is, a lot of this mod was designed before those skill sets were in the game (they came in in one of the expansions). Therefore, there wasn't much planning obviously to incorporate those skills into the world.
We could add them in now (and Netrom has in one or two of the jobs that he's done), but unless you really rework things and use them in a widespread fashion, it's really not worth making people invest points in them unless it's really worth it.
Definately in NS5 though...

Persuade was around since the OC. And NS4 does have those utterly useless + Persuade cloaks for sale in the shops.

Oh yeah, just ONCE to persuade one duergar. I admit, it was kinda neat. But you could just intimidate him as well (easy for barbs or wm) or persuade of course. Either way its just a loan of a cloak from a shop if you want to bother, personally I just smited him on the spot with my cleric. Makes no difference to me if the evil guy gets his trial before the guys or not, I already have made my verdict...
