Guild suggestion

First off, let me say I think the idea of guild support is awesome... it's really nice to see some of the new content that the dev team has been releasing lately and goes a long way toward keeping me playing.

Regarding the guild rules, I had a thought... don't know how feasible it is, but what do you all think about one or two guilds that fall outside of the factions? Are there not some lawless characters who swear allegiance to no formal government? Allowing players to join one of several external guilds might set up an interesting dynamic. Here are just a few possibilities that spring to mind:

1) Trade Guilds
2) Outlaws
3) Secret Cults
4) Bounty Hunters

Mmmmmm... Boooounty Hunters.... anyway, I thought the possibities were intriguing enough to discuss. I don't know enough about the mechanics of the faction code and other programming considerations to know whether it can be easily done, but it might add some richness to the game experience.

no way, i tried to make kSt an Unaligned clan, it was turned down, so this will share the same fate...

honestly tho.. what's stopping you or anyone from doing such things?? you'd be without an official guild house and colourNPC, and DMs wouldn't enforce tag missuse.

There are tons of guildless characters out there, [they're the majority i'd guess] some of them trade, some are outlaws... there could be cults, and even I have done some bounty hunting...

I still would love to see PC drops (ie: "theKilledPC"'s head, hand or ear if you PK them (and they are in a rival faction)) that alone would be a nice feature, since a guild leader or DM-controlled event PC could say "BRING ME HER HEAD!" and you could....
