ideas for items
rings of immunity?? like acid, fire, cold and the like. rings could hold the misc of magical enhancements. casting spells like fireball, spell resistance, mage armor, bigby(that would be so cool for a fighter). anyone else have any ideas for some item ideas that the dm's and devs could argue about?

How about rings of spell turning? They are often used and sought after in the Pen and Paper game. A certain number of spell levels will be reflected back upon the caster before the ring loses it's magic...
Maybe something like this:
Ring of Minor Spell Turning - will automatically reflect any spell up to level 3 with the ring's owner as the target back at the caster. Will reflect up to 1d6 + 4 total spell levels before the ring becomes non-magical. Only useable by Rogue or Fighter.
Ring of Spell Turning - will automatically reflect any spell up to level 6 with the ring's owner as the target back at the caster. Will reflect up to 1d8 + 6 total spell levels before the ring becomes non-magical. Only useable by Rogue or Fighter.
Ring of Major Spell Turning - will automatically reflect any spell up to level 9 with the ring's owner as the target back at the caster. Will reflect up to 1d12 + 8 total spell levels before the ring becomes non-magical. Only useable by Rogue or Fighter.
Imagine that casters face when the Bigbies or maxed IGM just launched at a melee type comes flying back...

The rings would be soooo awesome!!! Maybe Boots of Speed (Haste 1 use/day OR Expeditious retreat 1/day).
What about specialty daggers like Dagger of Venom? I am not too sure if I have seen or heard of any good daggers in the game but I don't believe there are any. Are there?
Are there any magical gems in the game? Such as Gem of Seeing?
Gems with True Seeing would be awesome.

there is already a helm with true seeing that you can cast on yourself so i doubt they would put in a gem.....although that would be helpful for a mage that doesn't want to lose a bunch of spells from switching helms. the boots that cast haste i don't think will happen because of the no perma haste rule which, if you think about it, will just mean you have to rest then reuse and is a kind of perma haste.

Now I like the way the server has a good balance of gear with a standard set of gear but it makes things a little bland.
1.Faction Gear - I know a dev mentioned in another thread that it would be easy to add faction gear to the shops - this would be very cool, instead of making another character to attack your own faction, it'd be nice if you could purchase the gear from your friendly neighbourhood shoppe. Could the gear be made faction-specific? or non-drop?
2.More 'cursed' gear - Nothing makes things more interesting than gear that gives some mega-boost(s) but has some severe negatives, even items (like cloaks and boots) with only one, highly boosted skill or stat can be a big trade-off and a curse of it's own.
3.Now I haven't done much crafting, but is there a way to perminently enchant items? ie: add sonic damage to a weapon by infusing a thunderstone?
4.What about a way to craft existing armour down 1 notch ie: Medium armour down to Light, without losing it's extra properties? [I know NS3 had some dm-event rewards doing this to people's armour]
Well enough rambling...
