Bank+Housing
I have looked around at a couple of different servers(I forgot their names) and saw that they had a bank and player housing. I think that these are great ideas. With the bank I didn't lose outrageous sums of money when I died. Player housing is also alot of fun and and players could upgrade their houses w/ furniture. My final suggestion would be a post office. People could send messages to anyone. Maybee they could even send items of gold and use it to transfer items between characters. Anyway those are a few ideas I have had for a while.

u know the sending items and money to another player would be a way better chance of RPing than just drop and pick up. atleast with that they would have to go to an Elvin type char and get it. it could even be setup with a personal password or something so no one else can get it.

Everquest has a trade window. Bring that up, click on another character, and a trade window opens up. Put them item in it on your character's side, and the other payer can click accept or cancel. Also a bank, you right click o nthe banker and a window pops up shoing you the items or the backpacks you havein yoor bank. backpacks, belt pouches, an several sizes of sacks and wood boxes can be used to add space to your bank. Shared space in the ank slots, so you can move things between your characters.
Warcraft mmorpg has a mail system, small post boxes near Inns, etc. you can mail things to your self or other players.
oooh, almost forgot. In Wow, you cannot email items to the opposite side.
So in NS this could be implemented so you cannot mail items to other factions or guilds, etc.

u know.....i could think of lots of things to spend my millions on. things like weapon, armor, item enhancements. i would spend 100,000 gold to be able to teleport between places so i wouldn't have to walk for an hour. you never know what ppl would buy with money until you think about it.

Money would be more useful if there could be a greater selection of weapons and armor to buy at shops. It would be nice if there were more variations in the weapons and armor to choose from. I myself would pay for a better waraxe then the imbued mith one i've been carrying around. If i recal correctly there are only a select few weapons that are better than the imbued mith you can find. It would be nice if there were high end specialty weapons of every type available either for purchase or dropped buy a boss of some sort.

It is impossible to make a banking system with an inventory. This would involve changing the User Interface, as well as Game coding.
The only way to make a banking system is to give characters a Data Item, that has the information of how much gold they banked. Then when they approach a banker, the data is sent to script allowing the character the option of depositing or withdrawing that amount of gold. Players should also recieve a 2-5% penalty to all gold put in or taken out.
Post office Idea "being able to send items instantly to any player" is really more of a cheat than roleplay. Being able to send items via mail to other characters of your own is against server rules.
Therefore if the Developers were to decide to implement this - than players should be charged a large sum of gold to send items, dependant on the items value.
Player Housing Will never happen (as NS 4 is updated rarely). That is the Truth. Being able to furnish your home would require the module to be Updated. Its uneccesary work for developers and DMs. However maybe the DMs could create more "anonymous" rooms in cities, instead of all those locked houses and doors. Players can use their imagination when it comes to having your own "house".
In reality, most of these ideas have nothing to do with roleplaying (yes admit it). Players want these things to make powergaming easier lol, save maybe the housing idea. Personally I want to see NS 4 out of beta, if anything.... not more things for them to test.
