ok, im bored, so im just writing a whole lot of stuff i think would be cool to add to NS4
1)NEW FACTIONS
a)empire of Kurusk
capital:the city of steel
races: Orc, Half-Orc
classes:all(except paladin)
alignment:any non-good
patron deities:Gruumish
allies:none
In the far north, a powerful force has stirred. A king has risen to power, and an empire has grown. This is not an empire built on honor and order, nor is it built on evil and tyrany, this empire is created for survival. The great orc chieftain, Morg Kurusk, has succeeded in uniting a great many of the orc tribes, and he has succeeded in building the first orcish city. The orcs have now created an order ro their existance, they have discovered their full strength. The city of steel has risen, it is a capital of industry and military. what were once thought to be inferior, primitive, and mindless creatures have now developed into a civilization, and a force to be feared. The empire of Kurusk has awoken, and will not be ignored.
b)The Iron Dynasty
capital:Cherun'kai
races:human(and any human subtype), half-orc, half-elf, gnome.
classes:any except barbarian, cleric, or paladin
alignment: any neutral
patron diety:none
allies:none
A great entity has awoken on the far south continent. An intelligence that has slept beneath the ice for countless centuries. A great iron citadel has burst forth from the glacial surface, a fortress known only from legend and "Cherun'kai". a civilization of mechanical beings has emerged from the massive construct, machines unlike any other that has ever been encountered, machines that possess an intelligence. The beings have set forth onto aetheria, in almost desperate search of allies and sevants, as if they are preparing an army for some unknown purpose. The creatures seek only those with keen minds however, the most inventive of beings... primarily humans and gnomes. and they refuse to ally themselves with those who are bound to a diety, these machinations are bound to no god, they only serve their unseen master who they refer to as "The Artificer" which they do all of their tasks in the name of.
2)SECONDARY FACTIONS
these factions are not joinable when you first begin playing, you must find the ambassadors and negotiate with them in order to join, however, in joining a secondary faction you renounce all aligence with your origional faction and are forever exiled from its cities and outposts.
a)Legion Of Thanatos
capital:Naratyr(located in thanatos, 113th layer of the abyss)
races:any
classes:any
alignment:any evil
patron diety:Orcus(automatically changed upon joining)
allies:none
The great Demon-god Orcus has returned, and he has reclaimed his throne in the city of Naratyr. The Demon lord has recently turned his attention to the exile plane of Aetheria. Orcus has sent a legion of demons, undead, and other servants to aetheria in order to "aquire" new followers. Some have been persuaded either through bribe of power or through fear to join the ranks of the legion, others have been taken by force as slaves to the vile army, and still others have been ripped from the peaceful ebrace of death to serve in the undead horde of the fiendish god. One thing is for sure, Orcus's interest in Aetheria is not trivial, and he intends to make the world his own.
b)The Rift Blades
capital:Baleresh(located in the Astral Plane)
races:human and any human subrace
classes:ranger, rouge, fighter, sorcerer, wizard, bard, cleric
alignment:true neutral, chaotic neutral, lawful evil, neutral evil
patron diety:mask
allies:none
The Rift blades were origionally a small group of githyanki that survived the decimation of their tribe by another rival family. these githyanki managed to use bizarre magics to cut off their section of the astral plane off from the rest of the plane, and connect it with a single material plane. the plane that they selected to connect to was Aetheria, as they thought no other githyanki family or tribe would be able to locate them through this plane. Over time, the remaining members of this family realized that in order to survive on this plane, they would have to change their ways. The githyanki began to recruit others from this new plane, people who were outcasts and mercenaries, people who held little aligence with their peers. eventually the family was no longer a tribe, it was now a small army, lead by the 7 githyanki generals. The rag tag militia adopted the githyanki ways of piracy, and they held a distinct advantage over the other inhabitants of the plane, an advantage that allowed them to survive and escape their enemies. the Rift Blades, as they now call themselves, have a vast number of portals and planar rifts that allow them one way trips to a great many area's of Aetheria, this allows them to phase onto the plane and conduct suprise raids and ambushes, however, only a few rare portals allow enterance into the githyanki city of Baleresh, where the seven generals conduct their army of pirates.

actually it's not a remake, i took it directly from the psionics hand book... and they gave it an ECL of 2 and i also left out a few of it's powers....
you're thinking githzerai anyways.... which are also a lot more powerful in PnP than they are in NS.... and again only have +2 ecl...

I think there is a limit of 10 factions in the NWN engine and I think all are being used in NS4.Throst54 wrote:gud stuff... i dont see why there's no reason not to add more faction in the future...
7 player factions, The Fey, The Order of the Way and Aggressive Critters. The Fey faction is what gives the Circle an alliance with nymphs, sprites etc while the Order of the Way are in the monastery up near Daeron.
The only faction that is not really used is the Order of the Way but I have to assume there are plans for them in the future. So unless Bioware losens up the faction restriction, or someone figures a way around it, or I am totally wrong

Um, there are at least 20 factions in NS4 and the stock faction system isn't used. :)Denort wrote:I think there is a limit of 10 factions in the NWN engine and I think all are being used in NS4.

You'll notice some places (like the underdark) monsters will fight other monsters.

i think joran said something around 100 factions existed... or was it 200...DrakhanValane wrote:Um, there are at least 20 factions in NS4 and the stock faction system isn't used. :)Denort wrote:I think there is a limit of 10 factions in the NWN engine and I think all are being used in NS4.
