First off I'm going to start by saying, nerfing them is not a bad idea, but more testing and input is needed to make them worth using.

I'm not too impressed that in the last 8 hours no one has said "boo" about these changes on the forums (one exception but specific to a couple problems), but the shout channel is just over loaded with opinions and griping. You wanna fix it? Get involved, here's the place to do that.

My first issue, most of the new summons suffer from one major failing.. ridiculously low AC ratings. For example, how long is a Balor with 2-- hp going to last with a 27 armour class? Not too long against anything with an AB of 20 or better. Give it a 35 or even a 40 AC and it'll stay alive long enough to do what it was summoned to do, rather than go up in an epic battle and be down before the round is done. If you want to nerf it take away its offense, drop its damage and its AB.

Another issue is with multiple attack abilities. Checked out create undead and got a somewhat cool zombie/monk. Problem: it will stand there switching between power attack and flurry of blows in confusion not taking action when ordered to attack a good portion of the time.

I had the useless zombie too, maybe happened more often in confined spaces? Sometimes a skeleton came instead of the zombie and it never did this little dance.
