We need a Gem Seller in Avendell and other Major cities
Howdy, I was thinking while playing the other day that a seller of Gems in Avendell and other cities would be nice. The gems in game are virtually weightless, don't take up much inventory room, and have different values. This would allow you to carry more "money" without loosing it on death.
In an infinite universe, I am always at the center, and so are you!

Yeah, perhaps be able to buy them at 25% markup so there's a profit in there for the merchants. :) So for a gem that you can sell for 100 GP you'd pay 125 GP to buy.

The markup would be much better than that. Currently the merchants are set to buy at somewhat less than half of the sell price of items. So you buy a belt at 100, use it for a while, and sell it back at 40 - 50.
Using the same formulas, that diamond that Bron the Orc sold for 500 will cost you at least 1000 to buy. But it's a good idea, and one that has been under discussion among the DM and Dev team members.
