Having made probably the first Barbarian to utilize the pure class bonuses, let alone the only character I ever see to use taunt, I can say it's worth it. And Tep is dead on, when he talks about no one getting concentration.

To think, I can run up and insinuate your mother is less than a saint, and because of it you're weakened. I can only say my inspiration comes from Sean Connery, playing celebrity Jeopardy.

This might sound great on forums but I would not try taunt on another pure fighter or barb that is built right -- you might be disappointed,

If you need to taunt a pure fighter or a pure barbarian your doing things wrong anyway.

Well, if fighter is dex based and barb is con based you will need taunt to hit him. Once fighter is in improved expertize his AC is no joke, even str based one.

Yeah but who's goin to stand there and get beaten to a pulp by said pure fighter or pure barb while you "insult their mother." In the words of the ski instructor on South Park "If you pizza-ed when you should have french fried, you're gonna have a bad time." There are other/better ways to skin those cats. Although, since when is a con based pure barbarian difficult to hit . Possible typo? Even a dex based pure barb isn't that tough to hit. Dex based pure fighters can get over 80 AC with improved expertise so yeah that argument for taunting there does makes sense. I still would't subject a toon to the beating that a fighter can dish out just to taunt him, unless I was a con based pure barbarian and could take the beating in the first place, or a DwD of phenomenal girth and matching thick hide.

Even though the first hit will miss I think the Knockdown from the next several shots will make you think twice about insulting the Pure Fighter while standing there with no dodge bonus.

I was saying that CON based is using Taunt so he can hit that DEX based pure fighter that isn't doing any damage to him anyway.
