pure rogues can be a lot of fun, traps are very entertaining & with so many bonus feats and skills there's a lot you can do.
horrible to lvl but great in a party

I agree.

I didn't think I was asking for too much.

There are already tokens that increase AB, and saves, lying around. I thought it would be easy to just throw a few on a rogue at certain lvls and they'd be easily done.

why would one of the most powerful factions need a rogue?
Cause rogues make better diplomats than shadowdancers..

.. I'd say switch SD for Rogue. My motivation is that shadowdancers "abuse" the weave, the shadow weave to be exact (which should be equal to the sorcery of AO and wizardry of MA, which is considered evil by those northen fanatics ;)

While rogues can act as counterspies just like the bards, while not abusing magic at all.

After all, seeing a Drow paladin SD with epic dodge seems rather weird compared to a paladin rogue (vampire hunter?)

PS. forgot to say that I fully support a pure class bonus to the rogue, sure they do alot of dmg when sneaking, but perhaps something like the elemental ruin feat in nwn2 could be added as a bonus? (half sneak attack dmg on elementals, that normally are immune to sneaks)

SD isn't allowed in AO, too bad the devs don't see it the same way you do or i'd probably never have to create an RK toon lol

i have a pure rogue that does ~200 damage a hit with sneaks....if your not immune you'll die in a single round.

Let me explain what I meant, as you obviously did not understand my point. This suggestion wasn't about AO, it was about NC.

The NC and TC sees wizards and sorcerers as witches, they work with the unnatural and some chose to focus on the shadow weave (the evil part of it all). This causes havoc in nature and unbalances the world even more.. (and the not so clearminded zealots of the north are afraid of the unknown ;)

The shadowdancers work with everything that has to do with the essence of shadow, they use/abuse the shadow weave by summoning undeads from the plane of shadow, blending in using magic (shadow evade) and enchanting their foe with shadowdaze. Surely this should belong to the neutral and evil doers of the realms.

Compare this to the rogue, who does not cast a single spell (without the use of magical items), nor do they use unnatural tricks and are more likely to be Lawful good than a shadowdancer.

Sounds quite normal for a lvl 40 pure sneaker (and ofcourse incredibly powerful =). All I said was that I support the authors idea, then came with a suggestion for the brainstorm factory ;)

hehe, tep, you do have a knack for exaggeration. A pure rogue str based half ogre with the white scythe and 10 imp sneak feats and 2 great str feats for a final str of 48 with a +12 magic modifier would do on average 163.5 damage on a sneak. :P

oh, and good luck 1: setting up a situation to get off a full round of sneak attacks, 2: hitting anything, and 3: passing any will or fortitude saving throw.

30d6 sneaks with kukri crits firing off....all you need is a buddy to kd them and then its sneak city. i average 160-240 damage hit on sneaks when not critting.
