III - Thou shalt not exploit known bugs, nor intentionally cause another player to suffer a respawn penalty. This includes purposefully using summons or nearby NPCs to kill a player with the intention of causing a respawn penalty; if it happens accidentally, remember, it's on your head to prove that it was truly an accident if it becomes a problem.

I have a question concerning this.
It has been said that players/DMs will use any means necessary to prevent raiding including the use of NPC defenders.
Does the commandment apply to this situation as well?
And what about PvP during monster infested areas?
A respawn penalty is occasionally applied when a player is killed in a mob by another player but this is no way a surefire thing.
Does this commandment mean no PvP in mobbed areas?
I just want to be absolutely sure here.

Thats what I was wondering yet again also. Do I kill Havok and the rest of his party while they are engaged in combat or do I wait? Can we just commence with the slaughter without a care, or do we need to make nice and wave at each other first?

Hehe... I guess while we're at it, I have a few more...

1. Spamming stealth mode so it continuously clears the opponents action queue... this is illegal right? Sure hope so.

2. Blackmailing others with screenshots of you doing illegal things (revenge logging, attacking behind gates, etc.). Seems like if they have a screenshot, they should either turn it in to a DM immediately or forget about it... blackmailing is really shady and really goes too far in my opinon... This is an extreme version of metagaming. Please tell me this is illegal.

I have been blackmailed recently...the player wanted a book or he'd PM the screenshot to a DM. Yes, I did break the rules (on accident), but still, that seems a bit abusive. Since the DM already had knowledge of my offense and gave me a warning about it a week ago, I just ignored the threat from the player.

3. Is it ok to harvest boss gear? There are certain areas where I believe players kill a boss, log off and play another character, then relog a bit later when the boss is back to kill him again and loot the adamantine chest... and do this over and over again.

2. wow, would you also consider finding out were you lived and breaking your arm 'extreme metagaming'? use some common sense.

3. this used to be covered actually. you're not allowed to camp bosses to the point where no one else gets a shot at them, otherwise it's fine.

Common sense to me says the first one is a yes (it should be illegal), but you seem to disagree... so not everyone agrees what common sense is.

A shadowdancer with 80 move silently can spam stealth mode from someone with 110 listen, and even though the listener can *easily* detect the spammer, the listener can't attack them... why? Bioware exploit... and this is ok why?

Notice that statement ends with if its a problem, from what I have seen 99% of the time it wasn't on purpose, you can attack while someone is pvm, I have seen someone lead a bunch of npc to another player then stealth/invise so the npc attacks and kills them, or use disable spells and sit there so monsters kill them thats the no-no for pvp while monsters are around. This is 1 of many issues that most players would never do but like a lot of rules its in due to actions of a few. DM spawns in raids, mountain trail, or even the planes are just that more npc to be treated like any spawn you attack or run.

If someone did the blackmail that is really... creepy to be that extreme about this realm.

For the SD its bioware, it is totally impossible to prove it one way or the other even if a DM is there everyone is visible to us so we couldn't tell and there is no way to use ss or any other means to prove or disprove someones actions it would become he said/she said
