character clothing

Hello. I'm new to the server, and have a question concerning my character's clothing. When I create a character and select its clothing, my selection doesn't appear when my character enters the world. Is that the default for all new characters, or is there some file I may be missing that causes this? Thanks for any help.

As far as I know, everyone starts out with the same clothing regardless of what is chosen at character creation. However, there are a variety of outfits for sale.

Thanks for your help! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I think its pretty cool that you can purchase different outfits.
