again DO NOT TANGENT FROM THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE I am ONLY talking aout Undeaths spell here....i dont want this to be abruptly locked. thx. :D

....i tried to get feedback on the "nerfing clerics post" but it was locked probably b/c it was just becoming a pointless thread.

So, here is my speciffic question / Concern

Undeaths no longer gives a +4 AC boost when casted....this lasted for about 2 minutes or less and was very convienent for aiding clerics on the planes, as well as running into battle to heal and rez fallen teammates

-- people have noted that this spell had been known to stack (real cheesy) as it does in single player NWN---- , but now instead of getting even the basic +4 ac kick, we are getting nothing out of it.

I really wish this was mentioned when cleric modifications were brought up...i might have reconsidered my build if i had knew this....

Or was this an accident/glitch that the dev's are unaware of, seeming that there are only a handful of people who are up there in levels still :wink:

Yes, I would like to know about this as well. I built a Duergar cleric to serve as the battlefield healer, run onto the battlefield invisibile while he provides his services (Healing Domain).

An intended change that just happened to miss the change log. This also goes with the "Clerics can't have everything" philospohy. The actual AC is supposed to be against Undead in PnP, however thanks to a handy dandy engine bug in Bioware's code, AC versus X has a tendancy to be rolled into general AC. Since I don't think we could code a change to keep the AC actually Undead only, the whole AC addition was scrapped as the spell still provides a many beneficial immunities to a party.
Serving NS4 proper as Lathander and Sleeth as Bahamut.

Yes, I'm a DM, but your build still sucks.

Back to topic, Undeath's Eternal Foe should have been giving +4 Dodge AC per casting in PnP, indeed, which means it could stack ad infinitum... but only versus undead. With Bioware failing to code that level of specificity into the spell, yet again, the spell had to be scaled back just to put the spell back to what it should be anyways.

sigh * i guess ill live with it...my build will still work ok ....but no more soloing alzarra i guess :D

I will, however, retort to my previous post by saying UEF is still illa caeca at epic levels... just like a party with a couple RDD's is sitting pretty on the Plane of Fire, a party with a Cleric on the Plane of Shadows (and someday the Neg. Eng. Plane) basically gains AoE immunity to the neg. damage from the spell. And no one's robbing anyone of that 8)

Of course the real problem is that Dodge bonuses to AC are technically not supposed to be provided by spells or magic items at all in the first place — only feats or class abilities are supposed to grant them. This has to do with bonus stacking, like bonuses of any kind (not just AC) aren't supposed to stack at all. Dodge is an exception in that it can stack with itself.
