Deadly explosions in the fire plane ? Oo

Post by kingfatzo »

Has anyone been killed abruptly by a massive explosion in the fire plane when fighting a trivial monster ( not the boss -or a mob of spawns -or guardian in some cases either)

this has happened to me a few times soloing, as well as a party - 3 of whom got killed instantly, having more than 3/4 health full...

--i doubt this is intentional, tho i could vision chase sitting behind his cpu fiending with his finger on a button that casts lvl 99 fireball explosion...

--another thought would be that the scripts in the planes often eat stale bread for lunch, and thus become constipated....releasing a instantaious chain of explosions out of frustration at the fact that you are killing one of its spawns

it doesnt happen often, but if someone was soloing and gets pwned by this act of firey karma it would stink for them

it has something to do with lag. my PM master lich lost all 800hp in a single blast, but if you go back and look its like 40 consecutive blasts that happened all at once. happened to my PM in shadow plane with the little blue gas pockets.
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

I have seen this as well and I don't believe lag was involved but we had several members of our party spontaniously combust during our travels there.

'Dem planes is dangerous.

Just a good reminder to keep your party spaced out so that if a mongo blast goes off, there'll be somebody there to pick up the pieces...
