Crit question

ok i was wndering with damage calculation for crits

is it for example with a level i Great axe

1d12 x3 THEN the 1d4

or is it 1d12 + 1d4 x3?

i was just curious about this cause i was doing some damage calculations and i was wondering about some stuff.....

All damage is used in the multiplier EXCEPT for massive crits, which isn't multiplied and only added afterwards.

So 22 STR with imbued greataxe and epic wepaon spec

1d12+15
2d6 bonus
2d6 massive crits

X3 multi would be:

3d12+45
6d6 bonus
2d6 massive crits
