Invalid Blueprint

I was trying to make scrolls for a wizard buddy of mine with my sorcerer, and I got an invalid scroll message.

Then, later I was doing the same thing with my cleric, and got the same message with a different spell.

Is this a known bug?

On a side note, I was curious why certain spells cant be put on scrolls? I understand some spells would be too powerful in potion form, but why scrolls?

OK, good point. Better that than an improved invisible HIPSing mage w/ maxed IGMS, but still a good point.

But, that was just a side note. Any word on the main post?

I was going to make a query about this matter as well.

Some of the the unscribably scrolls seem to scripting errors. One of these is Summon Creature III, my impression is that there's an error in the code. In particular, I think that spell is definitely a code problem, since nearly all the other summon spells can be scribed, and thus there's no reason Summon Creature III should be singled out. There's several spells that are like this, and it seems like they're supposed to be scribable, but the script has the wrong tag or resref which prevents the spell from being scribed. Other spells don't give the blueprint error, they just say the spell can't be scribed, and in this case it seems there's no code in place at all for scribing the scroll.

On a related note, none of the HotU spells are scribable (or likely brewable). Now, this is understandable given that NS 4 originally just required NWN + SoU, but are there any plans to eventually make potions and scrolls from of the HotU spells?

any of the spells that aren't scribable..haven't been scribeable since day 1...mostly because of HoTU spells.

For there being 345 scrolls, two known typos isn't so bad

Checked, they should be:
scr_isaacs15
scr_summoniii5

instead of scr_isaacs16 and scr_summoniii3.

found another possible scroll issue. Don't know if it's an actual issue or not (probly not) but though I'd bring it up =)

Picked this divine shield scroll off a pickpocket's remains. just a graphical glitch I'm sure, but thought you guys would wanna see it =)

Raise dead scroll creation worked as of last night. You can use the scribing table in the magic shops or wherever they are in your city.

Keep an eye on Wiki, i know they are putting a lot of time updating scroll scribing information.

You can scribe raise dead.

hey, i did some wiz/sorc scribing with alot of spells. greater igms is one of those that has invalid blueprint. check out the excel i made. cleric/bard spells needs attention though.
