Maybe this is common knowledge but if you hit someone with a sneak attack and roll a crit how does it work? does it stack, is one favored over the other, or is the highest damage applied
Thanks

Hmmm... I've wondered the same thing since it isn't exactly that verbose when it details the damage applied unless it is from different sources. But, since sneak and crit are all just physical damage from the weapon they are combined.
I'd assume from the numbers I've seen that it is damage x crit + sneak. I'd certainly love if it was (damage + sneak) x crit.

Yeah, sneak attack is applied afterwards, the way it is in PnP also. The programming logic behind this is the fact the NWN says sneak attack is a feat; ergo, it's tacked on the end instead of crammed in with all the equations for the attack and damage rolls.
An example of something in that mess of rolls in elemental damage... it theoretically shouldn't be applied also like in PnP, but since it's rolled at the same time as base weapon damage, the game multiplies it anyway.

normal dnd rules say: for example a lvl 5rogue with a longsword does: 1d8 19-20/X2 + 3d6 damage: and by this the 1d8 will only be multiplied by 2 and not the sneak, for those who have the dnd players HB can find it on page47 and is littarly saying:''Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this samage is NOT multiplied.''
But not sure how it works inhere cause to manny things are tweaked here
