Damage Resistance on Items

I've not encountered this before and want to know whether the item is bugged or this carries through to other items right through to epic gear?

Scenario 1: Masterwork Robes (Slash 5/-, Damage Immunity 10% Pierce) Result: Take 1 damage from Skeletal Raven i.e. Damage not Resisted
Scenario 2: Equipped only with Masterwork Mesh Iron Shield (Damage Immunity 5% Pierce) Result: Take 0 damage from Skeletal Raven i.e. Damage Resisted.
Scenario 3: Masterwork Robes and Masterwork Mesh Iron Shield (Slash 5/-, Damage Immunity 15% Pierce (combined)) Result: Take 1 damage from Skeletal Raven i.e Damage not Resisted.

Is this a bug with just the Robes or does the effect of having multiple damage immunities (slash and pierce) on the item cause wonkiness? This was tested with no server lag btw.

% immunity should always leave you taking atleast 1 damage if i remember correctly...
