I have a toon that is level 9 and is bard, has weapon focus, and is able to use the rapier, and has two attacks a round, and is something like 13/9 or something. There is no strength bonus on the character.
I looked up the prerequisits on the grimoire and this is what it says.
Improved Critical
Type of Feat: General
Prerequisite: Proficiency with the chosen weapon, base attack bonus +8
I go through the character leveling process and when I get to the selecting a feat window, the feat improved Critical is not an option. Any ideas???

Exactly... you are looking at your attack bonus instead of your base attack rating.
