I think I unintentionally found a Bug with + 2 Book Usage

Hi I am not sure if a DM can help me or confirm that I have found an issue or not.

Here is the situation:
I used a +2 Int book but only received +1 to my INT attribute. I rested before using my book so that I have no active buffs. My int before using book (with no +int equipment was 28 but it only moved to 29 after using book)

Level 26 Sun Elf Wizard
- I maxed starting intelligence so I was 20 Int after changing to Sun Elf race
- Put 1 point into Int every 4 levels so that is +6 int at level 26 for a total Int of 26
- Took Great Intelligence 1 feat so that puts me at 27
- Completed the Arcanist job for MA so that put my It at 28
- Used a +2 Int book so my int should be 30 but it is 29

I am not sure if anything can be done to get my INT scroe to where it should be but I appreciate anyhelp that a Dm could give me.

This doesn't add to your toon's natural, it is applied after login. When you look at your toon on the login screen, that will not include this.

Yeah, all job stat bonuses are "green" bonuses, counts like your bulls, cats or eagles splendor. Unfortunately, it also makes it count towards the +12 limit for buffs(items+spells), books are "hard" bonuses and therefore dos not.

What level were you when you used the book. 26 or 27?

Oh My God, I am so embarrased

I know what hapenned and surprise surprise it was human error

At level 26 took Great Intelligence 1 as a feat

At 26 I used a book

This pushed me back down to 25 which means I lost my Great Intellligence Feat

This means my Intelligence is now rightfully 29.

When I het back to 26 again, My Int should be at 30

I am so sorry for posting this question

I should have researched more myself first

Its been recomended.. that you should only read a book when you have enough xp to burn without droping from your current lvl.. Aside from embarssing but understandable posts.. you could bug your toon permanatly.

Thats why I asked your level. I've seen people take feats like that before and have it happen. Glad you got it all squared away though.

Thanks so much Heeza, once I read your post on my level, I realized my mistake.

To be honest, my first instinct was why am I at level 25?

Then I quickly realized, of course I am at 25 as my book usage dropped me a level.

Too bad my first instinct was it can't be my fault, it must be an issue with the game.

Particularly important around 13, 16, 20 ... - levels for gear-up or when you get important new abilities. Nothing like using a book, then finding yourself nekkid, and you've just sold your old gear!
