new character generation trouble

Sometimes I create a new character, get to the bottom and click play and then all I get is a black screen forever. I know this happens to others as well, afterward the character is on your list but logging it in leads back to dead black screen. This is a particular problem with half ogres in my case. Does anyone know how or why this happens? How can I prevent it?

I have seen that happen to me on Reflection, when I make a Pc with subrace. You get a forever black screen. When that happens I hit my Esc key and log out then back into game. Second time around it loads into the rift and then I carry on as usual.

I also know that sometimes players do get "black holed" and can not escape it on their own. In that case you would have to catch a DM in game who can see your character, they would pull it to another zone until you can see the area and take you back to the rift.

There has been a fix put in to prevent the "black hole" from happening. It may not work in all cases so report when you have this prob so Dev's can look into it.

Yeah I always have this problem.
When you load your toon and hit Enter neversummer wait a sec then exit, relogin with same toon and hit esc and it will skip the cutscene - it seems to be a problem with the cutscene loading so just skip it and ure fine (i hope)

Yeah they seem to only get blackholed if you dont log out right away and then back in.
