Hello all,
Been a while since i've been to NS and thought i'd get back into it. Anyways I installed NWN on my new pc and I got a black screen upon load up (this is a noted Nvidia problem and I have a GeForce 8800GTX). They suggested a back door method into the game which bypassed the main screen however my computer made a weird squeaking/ringing noise (it is not from the speakers it comes from in the comp case) on the menu screens. I fixed the black screen problem by updating my drivers however the noise remained. When I am ingame it is fine it only happens specifically in the menus to varying degrees and also when I load new areas ingame, if i leave the menus or quit is stops instantly and I have never had this problem before with any other games. I have posted this on the Bioware tech support but I thought I'd ask if anyone here could help me out.
Thanks Heaps.

Thanks HEAPS!
Turning on Vsync stopped it, still what does this function do? and does the squeaking mean my gfx card is faulty or it just doesnt like this game?

Re: Squeaking Problem
Triple Buffering: This setting is covered in detail on this page of the Gamer's Graphics & Display Settings Guide. If set to On, this setting allows your overall performance to improve when Vertical Synchronization (VSync) is enabled in games. Therefore if you want to enable VSync - whether in the in-game settings or in the Nvidia Control Panel, it is recommended you enable Triple Buffering as well. However note that using Triple Buffering may cause problems for graphics cards with lower Video RAM, so disable this option if you’re experiencing problems such as mouse lag in games. Note further that this option only works for OpenGL games at the moment, so to force Triple Buffering in Direct3D games (which is the majority of recent games), see the Advanced Tweaking section.
