They should stack, as long as the classes involved are good for reaching MA.

yeah, i had a rogue/bard/fighter tailor prewipe - cant remember the split, but he was only L30, and I don't think he was 20 in anything, so had to have some combination of rogue and bard.

SOOOOOOO... I have read all the posts here and found nothing that helps out a human monk to get past the master craftsman level. I too an getting the same message of ," You find it increasingly hard to further your crafting abilities." or some such thing as that. I would also mention that I do not get the time remaining in order to have " contemplated" on my learning. I am at the way of the cloth tailor station.

Certain classes auto-disqualify from higher crafter levels. Monk, cleric, pali, plenty of PrCs...it made more sense on a level 20 server.

How many monk lvls do you have?

Yeah I would ask that as well. My over level 30 monk has no problem crafting MA - first and second enhanced. Mind you mine isn't human.

What I will do is make a test human and run the crafting levels to see if there is an actual problem once I see your reply to how many monk levels you have.

For MA you need to be level 19.
First enhancement is at level 25.
Second is at level 30.

I have 24 monk levels, human, Alligence is to TC. If the first enhancement is at 25, then the sign at the crafting tables should be altered because they are giving off false information from my recollection. Ill check again but im pretty sure about that. Ill check when I get back on.

Tailor monks are wierd. It says sometimes you can't progress but you just spend the crafting and you level up anyway. It just bugs sometimes. Just use the sign for times till level up

Are you on the "right" crafting tables to make enhanced gear?

My toon Lotus Path (TSS) is a level 32 human monk from Melencia who tailors. I never had any difficulties in attaining Master Artisan status, and I have no problems crafting gear and upgrading it to 30th level.

Smashbunny, does your character have levels in some other class in addition to your monk levels?

Off-topic: I have been told that transferring Master Artisan crafted items to another character prevents you from being able to later upgrade them to 25th or 30th level if they are later passed back to the original crafter. In practice, I have had no problems doing this, either. As long as MA crafted items are passed by means of placing them on the ground or in storage at a Guild Hall, they can still be upgraded later. Only placing items in the anvil at Avendell strips their upgrades and makes them non-upgradable.

I'd also mention to smashbunny offer that not all stations allow you to progress to Master Artisan level. Most of the stations you'll find in Avendell and your home city will only allow you to reach Artisan level. Master Artisan stations are out there but you have search for them. (not sure if we're allowing spoilers)

Additionally these are things I know:

- 19 min for Master Artisan (lvl 20 gear)
- 24 for 1st upgrade (lvl 25 gear)
- 29 for 2nd upgrade (lvl 30 gear)
- never put upgraded crafted items in the anvil.

- Retzbu Tox, i believe i have also seen what you mention about not being able to upgrade an item once it is passed to another character and back. this is only an issue if you are crafting the 30 lvl gear at lvl 29. if you are level 30 you can still upgrade it. i'm not sure that it always blocks you though. i've been blocked on some and been successful with others. i think if you transfer in the span of a reset it may not cause problems? i'm really not sure but i've seen it once. that really only causes you trouble if you upgraded it once and want to upgrade it again. if its not upgraded at all just throw that item away and make a new one for ~5k gp and 75 xp. i guess i'd just say be careful.

Well thank you everyone for your responses and though some very good questions came up none of them really apply. My tailor is lvl 40 now. Pure monk. Never deleved. Im not sure if this makes a difference but I am githerzai. I am at the monastary trying to craft.I have more than enough xp to craft. I think I will try Alka's idea and pretend it is a bug that I am getting that response from the sign and try to craft anyway and see if it works. That is abou the only thing I believe I can do besides getting help from a DM. No I have not transffered any items. I am still at MC level. All my stats are above 13 just incase Charisma MIGHT be a required stat for tailoring.
