Recent lag spikes (Feb. 2011)
Re: Recent lag spikes (Feb. 2011)
Mining's NOT getting lag spikes guys. It's just our ISPs. Move along.
Re: Recent lag spikes (Feb. 2011)
.. I'm saying I'm not getting lag spikes, so I can't actually give in any useful information. If you guys feel like being helpful and doing exactly as Cely has asked, twice, we might be able to solve the problem. My commenting is based on seeing which australian ISPs are causing issues and which are not, so we can rule out those in specific cases.

I don't to see how posting in a thread where people report lag, saying that you have no lag, twice, is doing anything but agitating those that do.
As far as getting people to do traceip and what not, its hard enough for me to convince people to go on the forum and report that they are having issues in the middle of a game. Most people just get pissed off and leave.

Well, if we could have everyone post whether or not they're having lag, that would be a good enough start... I've had people who have, and have not had lag, at the same time on querying, so its incredibly hard to troubleshoot.Hyk wrote:I don't to see how posting in a thread where people report lag, saying that you have no lag, twice, is doing anything but agitating those that do.

I have been having bad lag problems as well.....as far as the time frame, I would say it has been at least two to three weeks.
I'll start tracking specific information.....I'll folllow Cely's request....see what I can find on my end.

Seems pretty easy to me! By Mining posting that he has no lag, we find that the lag not universal... an important issue... and certainly more productive than your useless sarcasm

We are Hughes Net Satellite Internet and have always experienced lag because of the this... tis why I wrote the Jump-Back-Blues, however, during the last several weeks the lag has changed
from jump-back to a "slowed" type lag... no jump back, but PCs move like they are walking through 3 feet of deep snow. Humm?
Our three boys have Time Warner cable and like Mining, experience virtually no lag at all....
at your service,
