"How widespread and reproducable is the problem?" Seems if there is a topic on the Bioware forum about this it is probably widespread and reproducable enough. How about a definition of "exploit" from the DMs or Devs. If it fits the definition then NS should do something, if not, then we just live with it. No, I don't expect bioware to do anything either. Part of the video problem is simply the matter of time it takes for the signals to go from computer to server to computer again, regardless of how fast a connection you have. Nothing can be done about that.

If there's something there it violates the metagaming and more importantly the fun rules.
Just don't know that there is something there--many npcs use stealth while in NS3 the prevelance of True Sight makes this a non-issue. If true we should see a great deal more crashing compared to NS3. Nothing on what computer components or override files used yet, and somehow I don't expect to see anything
