argh this is a bit aggrivating... i visited the CEP site that seems to have all the mods.... bah has anyone used this mod ? all i really want to be able to do is dry run a build, id rather not totally mod up the game if i dont have to

It's probably a compressed file type of some sort (i.e. zip, rar, etc...). You talking about the mod or the CEP set of haks?

Follow these steps to easily create a mod:
1. Open toolset
2. Create an area. (the toolset helps you do this automatically on startup)
3. Save area.
4. Exit toolset.
5. Start NWN.
6. Open module under "other modules"
7. Create your character.
8. Type exactly"~DebugMode 1" press enter
9. Type exactly"~GiveXP" press enter and click on your character.
10. Voila your character now has enough xp to get to lvl 40.

Note: "~" is used to activate the input. it should not actually be displayed.
Simply typing "GiveXP" works for me. If it doesn't for you add the amount of xp you would like to gain after.
EX. "GiveXP 1000" should give you 1000 xp.

If you want to have fun with your module, add shops and such, it isn't hard. Use the wizards in the toolset. They do the basic stuff for you.

Unzip, place file .mod in your modules folder, start the game choose new- other - Halls of epic training

Already has all the items and some different types of mobs in place.

Very easy to install and use (even for the illiterate people like me

Maybe I should upload my leveler. It's really simple, just has a store that sells gear and a lever for leveling up. I'd have to edit it a bit since I have the CEP stuck in it (not really needed for a leveler) and some of the twinked out munchkin gear I have there (like the +20, +12 Str, +2d6 of every damage type, keen, vorpal, wounding, greatsword).

If you want to see your test-character all tricked out with (some?) faction bonuses and subrace bonuses, what I did was make some rings in a modified leveler mod... I've got one for Drow, wild and wood elf, tiefling etc... the rings are based on the slave ring with the subrace (+LA faction bonuses in my case).

The alternative (and slightly easier) way to do this is to create a character in NS4, then from the [Esc] menu, select [Save Character], then load up the custom mod and level it up as you wish and then:

~DebugMode 1 [Press Enter]
GiveLevel 40 [Press Enter] [Click on your char.]

Aye, i auctually downloaded the one that Metis linked too and it does exactly what i was looking for... then i noticed the extensiveness of CEP and i may look into that as well... i hope the avater images will show up tho

get in the toolset...make an area and an npc. edit the conversation of the npc to give lvl 40 by talking to it. save it and load it..its that easy.

My favourite leveller is Power Crazed. You can find it here:

It has the creatures like in a zoo with each creature type in it's own cave so you have Elementals, Giants, Planars, Beasts, Abberations, Constructs, Undead, Dragons etc.

The creatures scale in number and in difficulty for 1-40.

Simple chat command of "cash" nets you 50,000gp and "stuff" opens up a list of items to buy. I have managed to pick equipment that would give me the same stats as a character in NS4. It's very easy.
