I don't think you should even be joking about that. I still have nightmares. I still remember how excited i was to get my first dwarven crafted rapier. I moved 2 zones from dwarves and ran into Jekyll. With this new uber rapier i assumed i was invincible and was dying to test it out. Needless to say, i was back to using my merfolk rapier of pain and i don't think i have ever quite gotten over it. If you have ever wondered why i give all disarmed weapons back, that's why. Its a silly game, but at the time i was crushed I still tear up re-telling this story.....frogofpeace wrote:Also, the alternative could be Jekyll coming back and disarming us all

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

Re: Barbarian Nerf
i think people forget that they aren't paying to play a game. the devs aren't payed, the dms aren't payed. also this is a private server and if a dev wishes to make a barbarian as strong as a caterpillar and as fast as a yugo they can and you shouldn't whine about it, i want to see you go into venezuela and attemp to whine to crazy chavez that his policies do not work and that hugowood was a bad idea. i want to see how long it lasts, for you.
if the devs make a change, deal with it. if you dont like it, then bend over, take it, get acquainted with it, take it to dinner, then advise in proper manner that the change's breath smells like fish and you are not fond of it, then let it be.

Kromix that is the oldest and most typical response to free server play that exists. Yes we all know these things, but the devs DMs and owners all have to weigh their actions as well. Without a solid population, then their efforts are nil. They do what they want but they also self moderate themselves.
"They can do whatever they want" is just stupid, like Totalitarianism. IMO they do whatever they want but they make us feel like we deserve it, and that is why we are still here, and why they enjoy doing it
Recending nerfs is not unheard of, nor is it a sign of weakness. It's actually the management listening to their players and weighing it in appropriately. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. If we always lost, then you would never have dedicated veterans.

Not sure if I'm reading you right, but my comments were not a slander on the server team... quite the opposite. It was a tip of the hat as an acknowledgement for listening to us.
My statements were directed towards Kromix, as his original post about what the devs and dms can and can't do (in his opinion) seemed misguided the way he stated it. We all need each other.
(mostly i need the rest of you for killing sport and the devs/dms for the playing field)

Lol, trying to argue with Kromix is like walking in a sandstorm. There is something, but you don't know how or where to catch it. Just wait till it passes .

Pardon - I've never known you to be less than civil on the forums, my arachnoid brother, though I can't say the same about the playing field . Some of the earlier posts seemed to be heading toward strident. Apologies, didn't mean to preach.Bargeld wrote:Not sure if I'm reading you right, but my comments were not a slander on the server team... quite the opposite.
