My answer is the tell you captured there of "don't worry, the DMs will straighten you out if you mess up" kind of thing. It was a joke, that's all. ya i did not read the shout afterward because it was mostly people just adding to the drama and i went afk for a bit after i rezed. what really got me about message from Torm. Torm is that you are not supposed to be mess with people like that. i expect something like that from Cyric. Torm would go right in and fight those villains even if it caused him to be slaughtered again and again.


I really like the set up of the server the additions added to the classes.
and I like the fact that it is pvp but the rules are too much in favor in the pkers.
they will camp an area that is good for your lvl and have their friends camp all the other areas that are good for you lvl or worse camp outside all the exits of a town and kill all the lowbies.
why is it essential to allow people to hunt lowbies over and over again in a pvp server. shouldn't they be required to try to fight some one their own size.
and ya, i know, i know. it's a pvp server and i should expect these things, right?
well this is bordering on harassment and it's hard to have any fun when some bored overpowered MF is out there to ruin it for you.

I'm going to have to find another server. i spoke to all my friends who I had joined this server with and we are all moving on. i recommend to everyone else who reads and feels the same as i do, to do the same. we are not going to change anything.
If you want to gradually raise you character to lvl 40 so that you can kill other players who are atleast 10 20 30 lvls below you than this is the server for you.

Now, now, no need for sarcastic remarks. He has the right to look for other servers. Not all of us enjoy PvP in the same way. And admittedly, lately some bored players have taken things a bit too far imo. For others it's just the right thing to do. Personally I prefer a surprising pk than the usual xp grind.
For a new player however the exploring and getting-new-shiny-things is still exciting enough, no need to improve the excitement even further.

Comments and attitudes like this are why your guild is reviled and the reason why you personally disgust me anymore diddy. I thought you were better than this, but you proved me wrong. I regret telling you that I was still "cool" with you after I left PWnD. Things are not cool when you find it entertaining to kick people when they're down. Doing assinine things to me and my brother is fine, cuz you know we don't care. We have fun with that sort of thing, but when you guys pile on noobs and other people its disgusting and just wrong.

I know its confusing to all of you(AO/RK folks) when we're still civil and even nice to you guys, and the reason for this is because it is just a game and we really don't care, and in the end civility is the right thing. Have to say I'll be sorry if you all move on, Ive had the pleasure of adventuring with you, and would like to continue doing so. Its new players like you that keep me here, and the well adjusted old timers.

I apologize for lumping all AO/RK players together. It was not my intention to chastise every player within those factions (My arcane crafter is outta RK lol). My comments were directed at the PWnD members who cross guild in those two factions, and even then those comments weren't directed at all PWnD members. However, the ones that are primarily causing the problems, and the persons meant to be addressed, do have that same common denominator, of being in PWnD.

The intention of my post or basically what I'm trying to say is that I think PWnD need to start policing their own. There are a lot of excellent people in PWnD, but out of boredom or whatever, things are starting to get outta hand.

Let me add to this for both older and newer players alike.

#1. The rules are actually in favor of the non PvPer. Both are protected and both have their limitations. The truth is a non PvPer can not get banned for not breaking a PvP rule if they don't PvP whereas the PvPer can. We have been getting reports and Screen Shots of various issues which are being dealt with. For those of you "feel" disadvantaged, harassed or wronged, PM's, SS are your best friends.

#2. Yes there are really good players in both PWnD and RR who will PK you, possibly rez you then might even invite you into their party for a good xp run. Keep an eye out for those ones.

#3. I have played beside, in party and hung around more of you than you would ever guess. I have characters that I play in all factions of all types and everyone one of them has been PK's at some point in time. In turn I have managed to get my own back on PK'ers on the odd occasion. It's a matter of time and opportunity. THis will happen for you too. Just be patient.

#4. Learn the server. There are many a place to xp run at any level. From level 1 to 16 I rarely get PK'd because I am just no where near where they hang out. I do a lot of roaming. There are many an area that will help you get to 16 or 23 without even setting foot in Frost Dale. You have to learn the server. Never be afraid to ask some of the more experienced players as to where you might go to be "left" somewhat alone, or for areas for good xp for your level. Then it's a case of "get PK'd here - lets go there" and you don't see a PKer for 2 or 3 days and happily level away. Unfortunately, if you always want the best - most - fastest xp you can get then stay in areas where you get PK'd.

#5. Yes this is very much a PvP server. You have some players that use common sense all the time, will PK away as they travel whether nor not it's a low or high level PC. Then there are some that like to push things, who don't see the over all harm they might be doing to the community or to themselves by their actions. I have played multiple servers in my time, pick one. You will always find folks from both of these groups. Your only saving grace would be a full blow RP non PvP or RP only PvP server. "Excuse me, I'd like to pound you into the ground. - Please wait a minute while I buff, I'm ready now" I personally am not fond of them. Way too many rules, like when your moving through a city that's 4 zones 20x20 tiles you must walk not run, just in case another player wants to say "Hi" to you as your passing by. Dang- LOL- it would take me over 30 minutes to walk from one end to the other and back doing crafting. But if that's your cup of tea..

#6. Lastly. Make friends with the "good guy guilds" some of their members love watching over the underdog and would offer protection and even help if asked. Make friends who are members of guilds that are enemies of your PKers. There are a lot of them out there. Try asking for help over Shout and then in Tells if you get a reply. All to often Shout is used to whine and cry about this PKer and that group. All that does is paint a target on you. There is nothing like PKing a Shout whiner only to hear them whine some more. Most folks have little or no respect for Shout whiners. A little RP Shouting like: "An unbeatable evil is causing death and destruction where we are. We are too vulnerable to this and can only see death for ourselves. Are there some who might come to our aid and sweep this evil out of our lives?" You might be surprised at the "Tells" offering help. This type of Shout is respected.

Another sad example, this is what makes NS4 so unique. The DM's let the rude and bored veterans scare away newcommers with methods that I've only seen on this server. Causing irritation, ruining gameplay for those out there who seek a new server to feel at home at.

I can only agree with what crazy said about some AO/RK. Some players should really be ashamed of what they are doing, cause there is no pride in acting the way they do. Either its about throwing harsh words at them, making sure they have no place in the good areas or simply trying to make their gameplay harder in general. I understand the few players that camps an area to force newcommers to explore more, but its really not a nice way to do it. Not the slightest encouraging.

I've been there aswell, complaining over and over again about how rude some ppl can be. And I will most likely continue to fight against it 'til the day I decide follow Nenoch's and many others example. However, I will stay aslong as I find the module fun enough to play in, and aslong as there are atleast a bunch of good players around to team up with.

The concept of this server is obviously pvp between factions, and pvp should be fun for everyone involved. I enjoy it alot myself when its done fairly. I'm looking forward to the day when I have a lvl 40 to raid with. But something I look even more forward to is seeing better pvp rules, I think this server could be improved alot, made funnier for everyone cept those few idiots who enjoys picking on the weak. But I fear that day will never come...

Yeah I mean why would you want to log on a lowbie to help a new player explore, when you can just kill them and force them to explore while you take over the popular quick xp areas for your lowbie?
