because we like other players more than you

Re: forced loss of faction?
i seem to remember everyone teaming up to raid LA why single out IO.
any way the issue here was someone from SL raiding SL and causing defender PCs to lose faction

correct... this is not about factions teaming up vs SL (which nobody has any problems with and in fact i wish it would happen more often).Tsavong wrote:i seem to remember everyone teaming up to raid LA why single out IO.

i must not be explaining the situation clearly enough. anyway i think i am clear on the response from tep in the other thread: "sorry, it's legal, deal."

Jacks Revenge wrote:i seem to recall a bunch of "nameswithheld of IO" helping the other factions raid and defeat MD and no one complained about it..so why is this an issue now?
I think Jack's Revenge is just saying that back in the day when he had an LA toon, IO was raiding and defeating MD and no one made a big deal out of it, which would be similar to SL raiding SL. At least that's how I read it. I wasn't playing during the MD days, so that might be wrong.Tsavong wrote:i seem to remember everyone teaming up to raid LA why single out IO.

Re: forced loss of faction?
back then MD and IO split and fought each other, but neither side ever raided MA and never helped another faction to do so to the best of my knowledge. we never fought in garagoth cradle room as far as i know so this issue never came up.Rowdy Spirit wrote:

again, the problem is not with rogue players, but with rogue behavior in the cradle room during a raid turning the faction code into a weapon.
a really really effective weapon against which there is no real defense.

Re: forced loss of faction?
Well I do remember IO back when they were MA, Helping other factions raid MA, and only MD were defending. Ask some of the guy who were MD, im sure they will tell you the same thing. Which is very similar to someone from SL helping other factions raid SL..
Re: forced loss of faction?
No one from IO raided their own cradle, with maybe one exception the former MD who became IO then got booted for unacceptable behavior.
I put the IO in socIOpath!

Re: forced loss of faction?
I think it might have been JP, but he would have only been there to help beat on Eb.

LoL comon Korr keep it away from the personal stuff, your not DD no more , fine now your going to have a go at JP when all he does is play hard and fair and help a lot of ppl on here?
Saying he cant do nothing without his COT is just wrong think back to the IO in MA days, he killed me often enough, and look we are still friends ! lol same with me and mloki and poet , just a coincidence ya think ?
Leave it in the game mate, when you log off and go to bed or work or whatever just leave it there, anything else just aint worth it. And you get to have cool times with ppl on both sides of the fence.
BUT NOT CLAD and FON BURN BURN you goodie 2 shoe NUBS !!! lol j/k's good to see you guys on the way back in the relic stakes - more the merrier i say !!

Re: forced loss of faction?
JP helped me and my brother's raid on several occasions, but that was a long time ago. MD, never ones to be concerned about faction loss or anything else, took it in stride and still beat us down. Forcing them to deal with a PM build really helped us poor noobs in NC though. Made for some fun times.

Re: forced loss of faction?
So when did this thread go from a faction player raiding the same faction to cause faction loss to the JP thread?
So what is the final verdict on this topic? The rogue player attacking his/her own faction and causing faction loss, not the JP topic.

Re: forced loss of faction?
I think we already weighed in on this... I'm not a DM, but if I caught players logging in characters just to make players lose faction, then I might just leto them.
