Skill Question
Skill Question
I have a level 24 Cleric. I "think" his INT is 10. Each time I level I get 2 additional skill points to spend. Is there anything to do to increase the number of skill points you get per level, or is it set at 2. I thought INT came into play for this but I can't find anything anywhere on this.
Thanks in advance

The skill points you get for each level is Intelligence modifier + class skill point amount. The intelligence modifier for a 10 intelligence is 0, and skill point amount that clerics get is 2, so you get 2 each level. Humans also get an extra skill point each level.
The only way to get more is to start taking another class (rogues get the most, with 8 skill points a level), or raise your base intelligence. Note: raising your intelligence through spellls or items doesn't give you any extra skill points, but raising it through levels or tomes does (although its not retroactive).

Excellent, thanks for the info. Hey, while I have your ear, might I inquire about these tomes? I know they come in various amounts like +2, +3 or +4; my questin would be; if my INT is 10 nd I use a +2 it would go to 12. Later on should I find a +4 tome could I use it to raise it to 14?
Thanks,

Right, but you -can- delevel on ns4, so you could FORCE it to be retroactive if you really need to just squeeze in enough skill points for maximum effect... or even take a feat that you couldn't take earlier but take it at an earlier level than you couldn't the first timeLinuxPup wrote:.... It's worth it for certain builds.... like WM builds where you want to get a good number of WM levels in before 20 but don't have enough stat points to max your AB stat AND get int or dex high enough to get all the required feats for WM.Ajantis. wrote:Who'd want to go through the trouble of doing that... I certainly don't have that kind of patience.
