I'd like to believe selecting the Human favored enemy would cover all the human sub races.

This is why we need feedback from players who have played Rangers and have that info placed in the wiki for future reference
Tres Nawt {CLAD}, Tres Baf {CLAD}, Tres Leyana {CLAD}, Tres Q'sara {CLAD}

it does. a subrace does not change your actual hardcoded race...it just adds DM tool buffs and the occasional cool item. so elf covers all the elf subraces, etc..

I testded Bane of Enemies a while ago, and found that with shifters, having favoured enemy on all the playable races gives you the +2 AB, but not the extra 2d6 damage. Not sure if it's still like that.

A shifter changes their creature type properly, so you'll need to have favoured enemy in the type they're currently shifted to. You shouldn't even get the +2 AB.
