Nature's Balance blocked by SR

Hello. I tried search but found nothing regarding this issue. Not sure if this is intended, in my battles with Shiva (sp?) I attempted to utilize Nature's Balance to reduce the spell resistance of the dragon and was thwarted by Shiva's spell resistance. The manual and wiki both document this spell as not affected by spell resistance and yet it is. Can anyone else confirm?
