Bugs with Gnomes.

I looked in the Wiki and this is what I saw.

Favored Class: Wizard
+2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, -2 Strength, -4 Charisma
+2 to all saving throws
+2 Hide, +2 Search
Spell Resistance of 5 +1/lvl
Darkvision
+4 AC
Blur 1/day as cast by a Wizard of their character level
50% concealment at Level 10
Level Adjustment +3

Note the 50% Concealment at level 10. I am level 40 and when I click on my racial item it states that I am getting 20% concealment however aparantly others are getting 40% concealment at level 24. There is something wrong here.

I am getting a ECL of +3 and yet not getting the enhancements for this. I posted this so that perhaps the Devs can check on the stats provided by the script. It may be only given to Wizards and not all Deep Gnomes. Also it shows that I am getting Darkvision. Sorry but, I dont have it.

Another thing with Svirfneblins.
Their AC should be +4dodge.

To have this implimented properly 2 things need to happen:

1. They need to be given a -4dodge ac penalty vs giants (to negate the combat training feat vs giants). Or, if there is a way with LETO just remove the combat training feat for giants.
2. They need to have a straight up +4dodge ac added.


Svirfneblins get +4dodge ac vs all larger creatures, not just giants.

I agree Jester. I think that will fix one of the problems but, not all of them.

In fact the SR shown on the Faction item may not be the actual SR provided. It oculd be higher or lower. At the moment I am not sure exactly how to test this.

If a Dev or DM has any ideas, let me know. I will be on later this evening.

Ok this is for the DEV's.

The "Racial Abilities" item shows in the wiki that Gnomes should receive 50% Concealment at level 10 however, the actual Concealment shown in game on the item is 20%.

Also, it states that Gnomes receive MR at level +5. This also is not the case when you look into what you actually have. You are showing only what your feats and abilities give you and nothing more.

Not to mention that Deep Gnomes are sapposed to have a +4 AC period, not just against Giants, Ogres and such. This also is not the case.

Please if you would review the atributes being given to the Gnomes because as it stands, theres no reason for the ECL of +3.

If the actual atributes stated in the Wiki were applied to Gnomes then I would agree with the ECL of +3.

The concealment scales ith lvl, you will get 40% later on. The ac bost how ever is deflection wich dos not stac, wich makes it rather useless at higher lvls

Vastly please take a look at your toons Racial item. Right cklick it and then look at it. It will show 20% Concealment. Nothing more. I am level 40. I get no more then the first 20%.

I have been missed by Monsters that show the "Missed, Concealed 20%". It doesnt take a rocket scinetist to figure out your only 20% concealed.

So by all means test.

Also, I have noticed that when I am raiding, I tend to lose my faction abilities. Why, I dont know. I do know that the only way to get them back is to log-out and then relog back in. This will not do if your in the middle of a battle.

I would like to know what is and what is not given to the Gnomes and if the ECL of +3 is warranted or not. Thats it in a nut shell.

I dont have any other mens of concelment than the race ability (plnat, travel domains) and la dosent have any concealment fraction items... I'm quite sure it scaled with lvl. This is kind of an old toon, to the race ability might have been upgraded after this tho...

1. that svirfs only get 40% concealment is a known bug.

2. pay no attention to the description on the racial item, that's just text, it doesn't describe the engine level effect (that part just says Unique Power, Self Only). How much concealment are you getting in the combat log? 20 or 40? If it's 40 then it's a known bug. move on. If it's 20 then you have a problem with your char.
3. Losing SR occasionally (specifically on death) is also known bug, you can see if you have it or not because it shows up as a buff in the top right corner. Resting *should* bring it back.
4. if you mean Racial abilities and items, please call them that. It's very confusing otherwise.

For those not paying attention, Dev's/DM's;

Yes I have stated "RACIAL ABILITIES" and "RACIAL ITEM" as it is an item assigned to your character that you use to activate your "Racial Abilities".

So,
1, I have stated that I have had on more then one occasion seen that I am getting only 20% concealment at level 40.

2, I am losing "RACIAL ABILITIES" during raids without dying! (SR)

3, My Magic resistance may be correct but, I am unsure if the numbers are adding up.

4, There is not Darkvision period.

Does this clear anything up! I mean I asked for a Dev or DM to PM me with the information necessary to clear this up.

Without the 50% Concealment, +4 to AC (Hard AC), Darkvision and correct MR, this RACE should be less then ECL 3.

Please if your not a Dev, dont respond.

Thank you! If you see something in-correct on the Wiki, fix it! Thats what its there for, its supposed to be player-run. Instead of player-run its more like a few players that do it. The rest just complain about the in-accuracies on the forums.
