Crafting Question

Post by Mitx »

Is a multiclassed wizard still able to attain MA in arcane crafting?

It would depend on what you multiclass to, and how many lvls of wizard you would have.

Please read this first:

http://www.nsrealm.com/ns4wiki/index.ph ... dvancement

Then ask your question again providing specifics such as which classes you are multiclassed in and how many levels of each you have.

Ah, if you examine the tradeskill sign in game, it will tell you that you need to be level 19 to reach Master Artisan.

EDIT: it also says Level 19 (combined or pure) on the wiki.

A question if you will...when crafting at arcane(or any craft for that matter) Master Artisan level are you able to combine spells/items or what have you to create items? Or are you just limited to what is on the table? This was moved to a more appropriate thread so I apologize to those that are reading this twice.

put simply , to be safe it it probably wise to keep your crafters pure....for example, if you multicalss and then try to advance in crafting level, depending on the class you went multi with, it will prevent you from advancing further unelss you delevel.

yes --- BUT with the new additions that should be comming in the next week (again  ) you will need at least 28 (?) ppure levels....so based on previous experiances then it is probably safe to say that multicalssing after 28 will be fine --

then again --- since there was no visual "advancement" built into the MA item upgrades, in theory you could multiclass after level 19 (wihich is MA minimum) But in order to have the access to upgrades you would have to have the minimum required levels in the crafter specific build -- example , levels 1-21 = wiz .. lvl 22= monk lvl 23-29 = wizard ...there you have a 28wiz/1monk and in theory again should be able to upgrade your ma crafted items....yadayada ...that was quite roundabout

im pretty sure the devs can confirm this once the new system is fixed.... :)

if you follow the instructions in the wiki link you'll be fine. I had several multiclass MA crafters pre-wipe.

Yeah, so this topic is a bit old, but I have a question.

Why can't a sorcerer gain Master Artisan? Just curious. Was going to start my sorceress down the crafting path and wanted to clear this up.

Arcane Crafting
From Neversummer 4 Wiki

Wands, Rods, Staves, Amulets. Arcane casting class required, Bards and Sorcerers cannot attain Master Artisan.

Arcane is one of the few crafts where you get still useful stuff at lower levels though. I'd still make your sorc a crafter, if nothing else for the dismissal rods at Artisan.

because a sorc comes about his arcane naturally and is not as adept at putting it all together effectively.

a wizard spends years dedicating his studies to perfecting his art. it is why he can duplicate it many times over.
