I don't like tabs. Harder to use alt-tab, which is what I require to survive with 8+ windows open at once most of the time.
Last I checked IE was still the most common browser... I am very surprised that it's not supported.

IE is supported, its just M$ that is broken. There is good news, there is a way to get them to respond to users needs and to fix their products so that they come into compliance.
Turn your back on them. By continueing to tolerate and put up with their buggy products you are in essnece telling them that there is nothing wring with what they are doing. The more people who turn their backs on M$ the more responsive they will become.
IE is still the most used browser, and its getting less and less used every day. You want to get M$'s attention, treat em like you would any school yard bully, ignore em and turn your back to them.
