Epic Shadowlord... huh?

Ok, my SD toon just hit 13 lvls of SD last night, and I chose Epic Shadowlord as his bonus feat.

Now, Im wondering... what exactly is the use of this no that I got it? I know SDs aren't supposed to be good summoners, but c'mon, the ONLY difference I noticed between before and after getting the "Epic" Shadowlord feat is that the Shadow starts with about 50 extra HP. It still does 1-3 + 7 damage, has an AB of about 26 and 3 attacks per round, and a horribly underwhelming AC of 20...

Now, I knew the build on this toon was screwed up somewhere, and that is why I took the feat. I know the Shadow is undead, so it gets alot of bonus immunities, but what good are they if it can be killed as so fast?

Well, if you can do spell foci in necro (since shadow is undead), that'll help... +1 ac, +1 ab, +2 str, +2 dex, +2 con per level of focus (normal, greater, epic).

Seems I slightly over-estimated the my Shadow's stats... I think I was with a bard last night and that is where the 20 ac came from, when it is actually 17.

Oh, by the way, I am a monk and dont have acess to the spell focus feats, but even with them, they would not help this pathetic thing any noticeable amout.

It may be wearing gloves that give damage that doesn't show up on char screen... I know my undead do that.

I know this is probably pretty low on the list of things for the devs to do, but still, you have to admit, those stats are pitiful.
