I got some summon questions even after reading summon guide 10 times... hope you can help

1) Does blackguard summon benefit from necro or conjuration focus?

2) Is blackguard level 30 summon better/worse/the same as cleric boosted summon (feats and spells)?

3) Is Mummy Dust summon dependent on cleric levels or character levels?

The idea is to the meanest, most nastyblackguard fiend i can

I was thinking Blackguard, Cleric, Rogue in some combination.

If i got epic spell focus necromancy, death domain, Epic Fiendish Servant and all that will the summon be able to tank high level stuff?

suggestion :

ask in game --check the party list before you log in and maybe u will see a BG who might be willing to give you a general idea as to what to do... the people who have awesome blackguards have them only beucase of the many different experiments with all differnt variables...and not to mention all sorts of failed attempts....give a few ideas a try, maybe run them in a trainer program b4 building them online.....dont expect any big spoilers from people, for nothing should be handed to anyone on a silver platter....

You are saying that summon guide is deliberately vague? (i am a bit new here)

unfortunately, i just don't have the time to make 5 characters but i can have fun with even less than "perfect" i think...

well, to find out whether necro or conj focus improves your summon you only need to level up to 5 BG, then take the SF on next level. If it works, keep it, if it doesn't, die and delevel and take the other one.

It's really no quest secret you might reveal here. Sheesh. Btw. the NS4 wiki is sometimes your friend. I found the following there under summons:
# Undead summons receive an increasing stat bonus when cast by Blackguards, the following BG levels trigger an increase. 1, 5, 10.
# Undead summons will receive bonuses for Spell Focus, Greater Spell Focus and Epic Spell Focus of Necromancy.

Im pretty sure the undead summon will be increased as long as you take more BG lvls, but no guaranty.

But does the Black Devil count as undead?

I suppose the Doom Knight probably does.

Both should benefit from Conj focuses, so I would think that that would be a higher priority than necro.

Hm, dont know about Black Devil, but the summons are either or afaik. They can't benefit from both foci. Correct me if Im wrong pls

I believe Kirgar is right and Undead summons don't benefit from conj focus.

-Summon types (Summon spells I-IX) and planar summons will receive stat bonuses for spell focus, greater spell focus and epic spell focus of Conjuration.

Summon I-X and planar. No undead in that line.

The summon guide used to say that, but not any more. The Wiki needs to be updated to reflect the Summon Guide in Neversummer Documentation.

Both Blackgaurd summons have Undead levels/templates.
