Can't login - black screen

Hi, I'm new to your server and recently made a new character on my account to play with a friend. I didn't know which faction to join, so I saved and rested him there, then logged out, deciding to wait for my friend to choose one first. When I tried to log back in, I get the loading screen and everything, but am unable to see my character, all I see is a black screen, I hear the sounds of the choose faction area though.

I was going to simply recreate him, but I wanted to use the same name so I was hoping it might be possible to delete my character from my account or make him valid again so I can choose his faction.

Logging out in the Planar Rift usually causes this.

Please make a new character and don't logout until you have left the rift.

Should I use a new account to remake him or would it be possible to delete him from my old account so I could remake him there

you can't delete him from there, and all deletion processes are turned off.
just roll up a new char and you should do ok, just don't use the same name.

I've had this happen a few times. Often the character is fine after a reset. If all else fails, a dm can help.

happens to me when he server is full, it seems for some reason that if you take along time to roll your toon then sometimes it has troble logging you in.

If you know a DM is on, with a different character get in contact with us on the DM channel, and we can move your bugged toon out of the Rift and then put him back in. This usually resolves the black screen issue.
