NS crashes during zone load

Anybody know of this happening before? My toon was just about to zone into the Ice Caves from the Frozen Reach when the game suddenly locked up and crashed on me. Ever since then, as soon as I choose that toon to log in, it will load the zone, then freeze and crash - every time. I tried logging in as other toons, and it all loads up and runs fine, but this one toon can not log in anymore.. Has this ever occured before? I'd reinstall the game if I thought that might help, but it looks to be a server side thing since other toons work fine.

The first thing to check in this situation is the infamous shiny water setting.

Please go into your NWN video settings and check that shiny water is switched OFF.

Wow.. that was amazingly simple. Turning off shiny water fixed the problem - thanks!

...But now my water will never be shiny again..

I've noticed my rain and snow still shine, just no tthe water!

good thing my system won't even allow me to select shiny water...i don't know what i'm missing

I never had shiny water issues with Nivida, but now with ati I no longer bask in shiny water.
