Invisibility dispels when leaving darkness

Hi

Whenever I cast darkness (non movable) and whilst inside if I use invisibility via ability, potion etc. it dispels once I leave it. Is this normal behaviour?

This also affects improved invisibility - I lose the invisibility but remain concealed as if I have attacked.

Does this mean it has been looked into and no solution found? Is it an old trap for young players or a recent problem?

its been here since bioware coded i think, or atleast since ns4 opened up. it cuts down on mage darkness cheese.

yer. if you wanna lay around plots that can take out invis, put darkness

if a mob suddenly goes invis, use darkness

Casting darkness is considered a hostile action, thus the invisibility loss.

@Elagneros: That is not logical since the darkness was up first before I cast invisibility. It would be true if it was the other way round though

going thru darkness of your own casting makes it go away, always has.
