Books of ___
Books of ___
Is the description correct, 10 levels in ONE class before you can use it, rather than character levels?
How close to a bind point do you have to be? Does it have to be a "home" point, or do Ave & FD count?
Do the stats apply as permanent changes to base stats, or as permanent magical additions like job bonuses do/did (haven't done jobs since the wipe, TC only)?
thanks

i have used one.
i believe it is 10 char lvls..although i was 10 straight in the class i used it.
it is a permanent stat increase that goes to your base..very cool cutscene then you get auto reloged by the server...only thing was that it unequiped some of my equipment.
you can be at any bind point..as long as ur bound there. i walked into avendell inn, bound, then used the book...then i had to relvl my girl because she dropped back down to lvl 9.
just be wary of the xp cost as it will delvl you.

Yes, for example, if you use, lets say, a +2 DEX book on yourself. Bam, you now have +2 DEX. If you were to come across another +2 DEX book, it would have no effect on you. You can still use books for other stats however, and it is rumored there are even more powerful books available, which would overwrite a bonus from a previous book.
And yes, books are consumed upon use. Any book can only be used once ever.

Serving NS4 proper as Lathander and Sleeth as Bahamut.
Yes, I'm a DM, but your build still sucks.

Ah, I was wondering if there was a limit on how often books can be used. The pnp rules limit book stat boosting to no more than +5 total over a character's lifetime for balance purposes, and it's good to know there's some limit in place here.
