Total newb needs help...

To start, I love this game. What a blast.
I started my very first online character (ever) last night. I ran around a bit and leveled quite a bit with the help of another player. This morning, I found the arena and was using it to level a bit more. The arena captain (or whatever his name was) offered what I thought was a chance to participate in a very hard fight, called it certain death or something like that and said there would be no return. I took the offer and was teleported to another area and followed the arrows to a platform where I was cut down. Now my character is gone from the vault.
Many of you likely knew what the function of this area is but I did not know that it would erase my character. Is there a way to get my character back or am I simply out of luck?
Thanks for any advice you may have.

I do not believe it will be posible for them to recover your char, but your question should be asked there so the right server ops will see it.

its the self char delete of NS3.5...start a new char.

yeah no big deal on ns3.5.. it takes literally a few hours to get a level 40 up there if you get some good gear to start with and know where to get max xp...

lol, that is funny. But this is the forums for Neversummer 4. The newest version. Your character got deleted, just get a new one and bum off the donations box (is that still there?).

Yeah, there was a donation box in 3.5 last time I played. There was alos those boots I got for a level 1 quest down in the sewers that gave me haste, regeneration and a bunch of other really massive boosts.

I sometimes go there when NS 4 is down, but it's not really that appealing to me, NS4 was the first NS module I played, and i'm used the difficulty. Gameplay on 3.5 is just far too easy for me.
