undead
i think someone needs to go back and check some of the undead skins...no way can this be right. notice in the circle the sneaks....the arrows point out the actual sneak damage done to an undead summon. if its undead how does it take sneak attacks?
I'm sure one of the devs will double-check the skins to be sure, but I'm betting this problem cropped up because of lag. With the 55+ people on last night, the lag was pretty terrible, and I've noticed a pattern that when the lag gets bad, if a creature is summoned while in combat or otherwise on inititive, the skin doesn't get applied... you might notice it more readily if you have Conjuration focus, as you won't see any of the bonuses.
An easy way to avoid this is summoning all your critters outside of combat, if possible; the skin should be applied no matter how laggy it gets.

Your summon will get nothing and I do mean nothing if you summon it in combat. This is explained in the summons guide.
Yonwe is also correct that in extreem situation lag could cause this.
At one point with 55 players on yesterday the server just gave up and started script erroring all over the place as there just weren't enough cpu cycles to get anything useful done. When that starts happening forget all sorts of logic and expect total chaos.

i always summon my PM summon outside of combat...i like to see that 500hp with the big ab bonus stack up. this was kind of odd because it happened to him alot all at once from many different players. i know about the lag and scripting....but even when you examine them they don't say immune to sneak. some players even commented on other in game npc undead that aren't immune to criticals or sneaks. i just want to bring this up so that maybe it needs looked at or possible something went wrong. btw some of the hits i recieved at the same time didn't process right as they were atleast 10 below my ac and i still took a hit...this i know was probably lag, shouldn't be the same with the undead skin though.

I too have heard of undeads on the game that aren't immunte to crits like they should be.

Yeah, not sure if the server is having script fits, but Twilight Rager's ( a buddy of mine) PM summon was pretty much permanently without its correct undead subtype modifiers (evening of March 4, '05). Crittable, no pro-paralyze, no increased dmg from fire, etc etc etc. Haven't tried attacking any monster undeads in the game recently, so I can't say if this is a universal problem or merely affecting summoned beasties.
Also been noticing undead summons missing their powers, and I've seen on different toons while a person casted the summon completely out of combat had the same problem repeatedly. Skeletons getting charmed, stunned, crit'ed back to back. I know alot of devs are working on the mod and alot of new things are in NS4 that I'm really looking forward to see what else is new. Maybe someone was adjusting the undead propertys for whatever reason, and it compiled it wrong and got saved that way. This has happend to me and a few friends though, just recently.

Same problems here for pretty much all the people I teamed with all weekend including when user list was under a page (didn't notice it working at all but it may have for periods).
Crits, were common as was Fear.
How about maybe making the base summons profile do higher base damage But have skin reduce that once applied so when the "Undead type" fails to apply you dont have an easy to kill summons with low AB,l ow Damage and low HP's. Then a Necro specialist can continue when the undead reverts to a high level chicken-wunna-be summons.

I understand what you are saying Mr Dealer to be buffs will add , the base type is broken at present. My suggested solution should still work, ceate a vanila summons (medium-high HP/AB/AI/damage) - apply racial type special effects undead/plannar/monster (configure to type) - then apply buffs from feats/race/domains.
Of course it may end up being more problematic than fixing the underlying problem but thats my concept for protection from racial ability loss on summons (whatever the cause).
