stuck in loading

yesterday while attempting to go to the south wall, my game froze during loading. every time i would log in afterward, I had the same problem (character name rudash hargleck). after the reboot this morning, my guy was back at the beginning of the tunnels, so i tried again... now I'm stuck again lol. does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

I have had a similar problem caused by my ATI graphic card. Everthing worked fine after disabling shining water in the in game graphics options.

Nope. no dice. I turned down all the video options, and still wont load..... any more ideas?

happens rarely with me to, but only when the server is very laggy, maybe try again another time when its not laggy.

Aside from the water effects sometimes fixing the problem, I've had this problem crop up on my laptop with a fair amount of regularity... I believe it's tied to a number of video card types not going well with NWN in addition to bad loading of effects. Typically, I can't get the problem to go away on its own, but it always goes away after the server resets and the character first loads in the "Loading Neversummer" area. Now that we have a wonderful DM-side reset tool thanks to Lord of Men Zing, I'll reset it now for you, as it's getting a touch laggy anyways.

thank you. my question now is, will it happen again if i try to go to the south wall? i can forgo the messenger quests for now, but something tells me I'm going to have to go there sometime in the future... also, could this be a tile set problem? ive had the same problem when going outside of the school in SoU

It does seem to happen more frequently in city areas, but I've had it crop up in my case all over the place at seemingly random times. I wouldn't worry about avoiding the South Wall for your quests if I were you. If it happens again, c'est la vie; better to try and get the Job bonus and worry about the bugs later

sirus used to have this probles, and it is caused mostly by the tilesets, I reinstalled NWN on his computer after countless hours of fiddling.... it worked
