Something wrong with the tiefling darkness
after the duration of the darkness ability you still need to have ultravision to see something, if not you can't see a thing (just like being still in the darkness, but without the blackness). Without the ultravision you are always flatfooted and get the 50%miss chance. Normally when the duration of the darkness expires ultravision for no further use. Can any dev/dm look at it? It will go away if you log out and back in, but thats surely not a pleasant way to play after every use of the ability

Well, once the darkness effect actually wears off of you, you don't suffer any ill effects from it. But, there's two parts to it:
1.) If the ultravision wears off before the darkness does, other mobs will be able to see you, even if you reapply ultravision. So, you always need to keep your ultravision up.
2.) If you go to another map, the visual effect of the darkness disappears for yourself, but not for other players or the AI. We could possibly solve that - haven't really looked at reapplying the visual effect on transition. But, you can tell if you still have it up by the little black *poof* that happens over the head of other PCs/mobs. That'll tell you it's still up. But, if the actual spell has totally disappated, you shouldn't be experiencing any more ill effects after that. I've played both drow and tiefling and never experienced that.

not true, if darkness effect wears off and the ultra to (like due time extended or by a complete rest) i need to activate a ultravision again, whithout using the darkvision ability, i've played some drow before to, so i know how it works, but what i'm talking about is another thing, the darkness effects keep sticking on you till relog, and it only effects the tiefling and no other monster or party member.Think Tbd got what the problem is.Flailer wrote:Well, once the darkness effect actually wears off of you, you don't suffer any ill effects from it.

As well as having the "blindness" cured when ultra is put on you again.deathdearler1 wrote:like being blind and not being able to see anything until its within your darkness range?
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
